The information provided is a comprehensive list of charges for each inpatient and outpatient service or item provided by a hospital, also known as a chargemaster. Charges are different from payments. Chargemaster information is not a helpful tool for patients to estimate what they will pay for health care services. We provide other ways to help patients understand their expected out-of-pocket costs, including the My Cost Estimator available through My UNC Chart.
