Jersey Mike’s Day/Month of Giving Supports UNC Health Southeastern Foundation

Jersey Mike’s Subs of Lumberton has once again selected the UNC Health Southeastern Foundation as the benefactor for their annual March “Month/Day of Giving” campaign for local charities.

During the month of March, customers will have the option to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar or donate $1, $3, or $5 to the UNC Health Southeastern Foundation when placing their order.

The Month of Giving campaign will culminate with Jersey Mike’s “Day of Giving” on Wednesday, March 26, when 100 percent of the day’s sales – not just profit – will be given to the UNC Health Southeastern Foundation to support our community’s healthcare system. On the Day of Giving, our local Jersey Mike’s Subs owners, Jamie and Daniel Terracciano of Page Investment Group, will donate their resources and every single dollar that comes in — whether in-store, online or through the app.

“Each year, we are proud to partner with our local Jersey Mike’s and the Terracciano’s for their Giving initiative,” says UNC Health Southeastern Foundation Executive Director Sissy Grantham. “For this year’s campaign, we are increasing our fundraising goal from $15,000 to $20,000, and we are confident that not only our teammates, but the entire community will support such a wonderful collaboration for great food and enhancing healthcare for our community through additional dollars that stay local.”

This March, Jersey Mike’s hopes to exceed last year’s record-breaking national fundraising total of $25 million and help local charities striving to fulfill their missions and make a difference.

“I would like to extend a personal invitation to you and your family to visit Jersey Mike’s Subs throughout the month of March, and especially on Day of Giving, March 26, when 100 percent of sales goes to help a great local cause,” said Peter Cancro, Jersey Mike’s founder and CEO, who this year celebrates 50 years since he bought his first sub shop at age 17.

“Jersey Mike’s has continued to be a wonderful community partner, and we appreciate the value they place on local healthcare as evident through their selection of our Foundation as the local charity for their Giving campaign,” said UNC Health Southeastern President/CEO Chris Ellington. “This annual effort provides a wonderful enhancement to our fundraising efforts, and we look forward to working with their team each year.”
