Coronary artery calcium scoring is a non-invasive CT scan that measures calcified plaque in the coronary arteries, providing a quantifiable “calcium score” to help assess heart disease risk. This enables health-conscious, proactive patients who want to know their risk before symptoms appear, with results to make timely and tangible changes (diet, exercise, medication) that will impact long-term outcomes.
