Effective Jan. 6, 2026: Age-Based Visitor Restrictions

In response to a recent sharp increase in respiratory illnesses within our community, visitor restrictions will take effect at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, at UNC Health Southeastern.

Children 12 years of age and younger will not be permitted in inpatient units or waiting areas, including the Emergency Department.

To help protect our patients, visitors, and staff, all visitors are strongly encouraged to wear hospital-provided masks while inside our facilities. Certain hospital units may implement additional infection prevention measures as warranted.
